Destination management
Destinations allow you to export activation query results to preconfigured third party output locations.
Important note |
This functionality isn't available as standard to all users. Please contact your InfoSum representative to learn more about how to gain access. |
Once a destination is created, you need only provide run time variables to push an activation file to a remote resource. Saved destinations are available to all users in your company and can be reused indefinitely. Destinations are similar to push connectors, but destinations do not require you to re-enter location information each time data is exported. Destinations are currently only compatible with owned activation datasets.
The following sections describe how to use destinations:
Managing destinations
On InfoSum Platform, go to the Destinations tab under Collaborate. This is the central point for managing export destinations for activation files.
From here you can create, delete or edit a destination. See the next section for tutorials on how to create destinations.
Once you have created a destination, it will be added to the Destinations page.
Creating a destination
Use destinations to create a connection between the InfoSum Platform and your third–party location.
Before you can export an activation file to a pre-configured location, you will need to create a destination containing the connection details and credentials for the export location.
First, select the Destinations tab under Collaborate.
Next, click New Destination. The form below appears.
The above form contains the following fields:
- Destination Type: The type of connector.
- Name: Identifies the destination
- Description: A free-text explanation of the destination
Click Next. Specify the connection details for the selected destination type.
Click Save to update the destination details.
Deleting a destination
On the InfoSum Platform, go to the Destinations tab under Collaborate and select Delete from the Action menu (3 dots) for a destination.
