Privacy controls are safeguards built into InfoSum Platform, designed to prevent accidental or deliberate identification of individuals through the results of insight queries.
In a nutshell, privacy controls add a small, intentional error margin. This error is insignificant when aggregated statistics are used for their intended purpose, but prevents manipulation of the input data to reveal information about individuals.
These controls are an important precaution, which guard privacy and assist in ensuring regulatory compliance. For your protection, InfoSum Platform applies privacy controls automatically. You can fine-tune how they work, but you cannot disable them completely. When you create a dataset, by default the privacy controls for rounding and redaction thresholds will be set to 100 individuals.

In addition to these privacy controls, there are measures you can take as an InfoSum user to protect personal data.
