Viewing the connectivity
Once you have two or more published datasets, you will be able to visually see the intersection of each pair - without needing to write any queries.
To do so, switch to the Connections List tab where you will see all the datasets you are able to reference and all the relationships between them. You can use this information to visualise the possible combinations of datasets for your query.
Here you will see:
- the number of overlapping rows - the intersection. An overlapping row means an identifying data point (for example a particular email address) appears in both datasets so can be matched. This figure will be effected by our privacy controls.
- the combined rows from both datasets - the union.
- the rows that appear in one dataset and not the other - the exclude.
To explore this further, click on one of the rows and an additional settings box will appear. This displays the connection details for the matching key selected by the platform. You can also view fill rates for the different matching keys available and the types of attributes held within the pair of datasets.
