A configuration (or config) is a stored process for adapting a dataset into our Global Schema.

Creating a configuration tells InfoSum Platform to remember how the dataset was manipulated, to make it a repeatable process. This enables you to quickly publish another dataset without needing to manually set up the same configuration.

There are two types of configurations, which can be used independently or together:

• Import configuration, which remembers how to understand the dataset,
• Normalization configuration, which remembers how to adapt the dataset.

Configurations are particularly useful if you are periodically importing the same dataset, such as a CRM.
