How to import files from Azure Blob Storage
In order to import data into InfoSum from Azure Blob Storage, please be aware that interaction with both platforms will be required.
Today, Azure offers two InfoSum-compatible options for data import:
- sFTP servers hosted in Azure. Once the data is exported to the server, use InfoSum's file management process to connect the server to your Cloud Vault and normalize and publish your data.
- Alternatively you can also download the file directly onto your local computer and upload it to your Cloud Vault using Local File Import.
As soon as the onboarding process is finished, you are ready to start making the most of InfoSum’s data collaboration capabilities.
In Azure
1. Define the data you want to export from Azure
If you have any questions or to validate the process, please contact Azure support. Click here for more information about how to format your data.
If you are using local file import, you will download this file to your local computer and continue with step 4.
2. Configure your sFTP server in Azure
Create a sFTP server within your Azure Blob Storage account. You can find documentation on how Azure supports sFTP here
3. Push the final dataset to the sFTP server
Once this is complete, you will then be able to create an Import Connector Config to easily upload the file into InfoSum.
In InfoSum
4. Create a Cloud Vault
Follow these instructions to create a Cloud Vault to host your files whilst they go through the normalization process.
5. Create an Import Connector Configuration (ICC) or upload your local FIle
Create an ICC to connect your Bucket:
Or upload a CSV file from your computer using Local File Import
6. Continue importing and normalizing your data
