Data connector for MySQL
The connector for MySQL enables you to directly import a MySQL dataset to InfoSum Platform.
Before starting, you will need the following information to hand:
- Database address, including a port number. If the port number is omitted then the default port for MySQL, 3306, will be used.
- Database name.
- Table name.
To configure a connection, login to the Platform if you haven't already and either create a dataset or access the Bunker of an existing dataset. Once you're in the Bunker, select Import a dataset or use the Import tab, and locate the MySQL connector as shown below.
Click Connect and enter the credentials.
You will then be taken to the Auth stage, where you can specify the SSL mode. Next, specify the database name and what will be imported - either by table name (e.g.
drone1) or with a custom SQL query. A preview of the data should then appear.
To finalise, accept the Preview Config and check the mappings created by the Import Wizard. If the columns in your dataset have been correctly mapped to a Global Schema category (see example below), accept the settings. Otherwise unselect, so the columns can be correctly mapped later on.
